As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing your stay, our hotel will be undergoing a phased renovation from 1 August to 11 December 2026.

This transformation marks an exciting new chapter as Iconic Hotel Penang prepares to be reintroduced as Courtyard by Marriott Penang Icon City, bringing a refreshed experience and enhanced offerings for our valued guests.

The hotel will remain open throughout the renovation, with works carried out in phases to minimise disruption. Contractors may also be working on the building exterior, and guests may wish to keep their curtains closed for added privacy.

From 1 to 30 October 2026, we will temporarily relocate our lobby to Crumbles & Cream on Level 1 while the lobby area is being refreshed. Crumbles & Cream will remain open as usual, but live band performances will be paused during this period.

To help ensure a comfortable and restful stay for all guests, renovation activities will be limited to 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily. While every effort will be made to minimise noise and inconvenience, occasional construction-related disturbances may be experienced during these hours.
